Meet Your Artist

Jill Dunn is a talented jewelry artist who discovered her passion for creating unique, handcrafted jewelry after a 42-year career working with children and adults with disabilities. A Michigan State University graduate, Jill holds degrees in Fine Arts and Psychology, along with a Master’s degree. Her background in art and her empathetic nature blend seamlessly into her jewelry-making process, which focuses on transforming raw materials into stunning wearable art.

Jill’s artistic journey involves sourcing unique gemstones from around the world, carefully selecting each one to inspire her designs. She pairs these beautiful stones with intricately crafted silver adornments, which she painstakingly creates through techniques like hand-sawing, soldering, and texturing. Her process begins with detailed sketches, followed by shaping the metal to frame the gemstones perfectly. Each step requires precision and creativity, from forming the silver to polishing the final piece, ensuring that every design is both striking and personal.

Jill’s life is filled with joy, family, and creativity. She is married to her husband, Craig, and together they have four children, two grandchildren, and two beloved Wire-Haired Fox Terriers, Maggie and Mollie. Jill’s dedication to her craft and her love for unique, handmade designs shine through in every piece she creates, reflecting her lifelong commitment to art and beauty.

Jill is a member of the prestigious Indiana Artisans and is a two time recipient of the Sagamore of the Wabash, presented by the Governor of Indiana.

In 2022 Jill raised over $6,000 for children in the Ukraine from the sale of her jewelry during a single art show in Indiana.
